Henri Cuinier

A storied history

Henri Cuinier, a brilliant and pioneering French engineer pictured above who worked with Renault in the 1950s, is credited with revolutionizing massage and respiratory treatments around the world. His invention of G5® Massage Modalities in Marmande, France back in 1957 brought about an entirely new era of therapeutic healing for professional therapists everywhere.

In the 1970s, Henri Cuinier brought his revolutionary creation to North America and it quickly became immensely popular. The 1980s saw his retirement but his legacy and the G5 line didn't end there!

General Physiotherapy's talented engineers and manufacturing specialists took up the mantle; developing G5 technology further and receiving FDA clearance for their expanded line of massagers and physiotherapy products. To meet the increasing demand for professional-grade respiratory and physical therapy products, two manufacturing facilities were established, one in St. Louis, Missouri (USA) serving the USA, China, South America, and the Middle East and one in Casteljaloux, France serving Europe - both of which are still producing G5 pro products today!

Today, G5® massage and percussion products are the go-to choice for all kinds of professionals including physical therapists; respiratory therapists; chiropractors providing sports medicine services; and spa service providers from all over the world.
